Items of discussion left unfinished: #41

Okay okay...so the Star Wars prequels were on the other day and I have to give it to you...the guy that played the Emperor in the old Star Wars trilogies is the same guy that played him in the new ones. He just looked so OLD in the original three, I couldn't believe it was the same person! But, no...you were right. So there ya go ; )

This blog was started to post memories, thoughts and feelings of life with my father. By doing this, I feel like I can still talk to him and keep his wonderful spirit alive. My Dad courageously fought and lost a battle to cancer in May 2006. I take comfort in remembering some of my Dad's favorite things, one of which was the Lord of the Rings trilogies. I always seem to smile when I think of this conversation between Gandalf and Pippin:

Gandalf: "End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it."

Pippin: "What? Gandalf? See what?"

Gandalf: "White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."

Pippin: "Well, that isn't so bad."

Gandalf: "No. No, it isn't.”
